Who ARE WE?
In 1995 Howest, University College West Flanders became a single autonomous Higher Education Institution because of a merger of six prominent institutions of higher education in Flanders. Nowadays Howest is the biggest IT School of Flanders offering Applied Computer Science, Multimedia and Communication Techniques, Digital Arts and Entertainment.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
Our mission is to build a Car with IoT hardware and to control it with your mind. As a minimum a robot will drive forward/stop with your mind while a LED shows the status. At the end of the week we organise a race!
GOAL OF THE PROJECT
Our aim is to bring IT & Design and Multimedia students from different countries and partners together for a project week about the topic of IoT. This event will be organised by the Howest Applied Computer Sciences department. A certificate of participation for 3 ECTS will be received. At the end of the week, you will present your results but most important you had a great international experience.

Profile and Prerequisites
The week is intended for IT students.
Sufficient level of English (B2) required.
Students should have some basic knowledge about programming, especially functional programming, OO programming and communication. This can be in c or Python as you’ll be using Raspberry PI’s. As we will work in multidisciplinary teams, this is not a hard requirement. Although most of the topics will be covered during the week, it’s a good idea to study some topics in advance.
